To All Water Customers,
The City of Moss Point Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant will be taken off line beginning Wednesday November 18, 2015 for a period of up to one week to make repairs to the raw water intake line.
During the time that the Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant is off line the City of Moss Point will be using well water that will be chlorinated and POTABLE. The well water however will be discolored during this time. Residents are encouraged to take precautions when washing clothes for potential discoloration. The water will be safe to drink and will be monitored on a daily basis.
The City of Moss Point apologizes for this inconvenience, and will make repairs as quickly as possible to get the Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant back online. This repair work is being coordinated with the Mississippi Department of Health.
