About MPPD

From the Chief:

The Moss Point Police Department is committed to providing the citizens of Moss Point with the highest level of public safety with an emphasis on professionalism.
It is our goal to seek partnerships with the community in our efforts to reduce crime. It is through these partnerships that we are confident we can take back the streets from those individuals who are involved in committing crime.

Since taking office in 2011, the police department has strived to rebuild the public’s trust. We have implemented many new programs, made personnel changes, restructured the department and improved our technology. However, this is only the beginning. Our goal is to provide a safe place to live, work and play.

I would like to thank you for visiting our website and if there is anything the police department can do for you and your family, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
