The Building and Planning Department provides efficient management of the City’s building codes, ordinances, licenses, premises and Flood Plain Management. The Building department makes sure all structures are not in violation of health, safety and/or hazard standard.

The City Clerk is entrusted with maintaining, processing, and recording all proceedings and other records of the City Board of Aldermen to include minutes, contracts, deeds, grants, ordinances, and resolutions.

The Moss Point Fire Department provides protection, safety, and education to a population of 15,000 and covers an area of approximately twenty-seven (27) square miles within the corporate limits.

The Office of Human Resources and Risk Management specializes in recruitment, training, professional development, benefits and compensation, and legal compliance for the best interest of its employees.
The Municipal Court Division is responsible for processing and maintaining accurate records of citations, including all traffic violations and other felony/misdemeanor charges filed by the Moss Point Police Department, Code Enforcement, and any complaints filed by citizens.
Recreation and Community Engagement
The Parks and Recreation Department's mission is to provide recreation and park experiences to all residents and visitors of the Moss Point city community.

The Public Works Department is contracted to Clearwater Solutions, LLC and services include water, gas, electricity, streets, grounds and facility management, and sanitation and solid waste management.
The Finance Administration Department is responsible for maintaining the financial, accounting and budgetary records. Records are maintained in accordance with the State of Mississippi and other regulatory agencies. The Department also assists the Auditors with the annual Municipal Audit.
