Prepare your taste buds, Moss Point. The River Jamboree is back on May 3rd, 2025, at our beautiful riverfront. Among all the fun and festivities, one tasty event stands out above the rest, the legendary Trash Pot Cookoff.
At the Trash Pot Cookoff, local chefs and amateur cooks alike gather around steaming pots filled with flavorful Gulf Coast favorites. Think perfectly seasoned crawfish, juicy shrimp, roast, chicken, sweet corn, potatoes, sausage, and more, all simmering together to create an unforgettable taste of Southern hospitality. Visitors will have the chance to sample these delicious creations, talk to the chefs, and cast their votes for the coveted People’s Choice Award.
But the excitement doesn’t stop at the cookoff. The River Jamboree offers something delightful for everyone. Families can enjoy free pontoon boat rides along Moss Point’s scenic waterways or head over to the bustling Kids’ Zone, complete with games, inflatables, and endless smiles.
Vintage car enthusiasts will love the Cruise In, showcasing beautifully restored classics from all over the region. And, as always, we’ll pay tribute to our cherished local veterans with special recognition ceremonies to honor their service and legacy.
Whether you’re here for the incredible food at the Trash Pot Cookoff or eager to soak up the vibrant community atmosphere, the River Jamboree is a can’t miss event. Join us for a day filled with delicious eats, warm fellowship, and lasting memories right here in Moss Point, Mississippi.
