As Moss Point prepares for the 2025 Municipal Election, residents are encouraged to stay informed and participate in shaping the future of their city. From voter registration deadlines to polling locations, here’s everything you need to know to make your voice heard.

Voting Precinct Information

For all Moss Point City Wards, the voting precinct is Pelican Landing, located at 6217 Hwy 613, Moss Point, MS 39563. Please note that this location is designated for municipal elections only. If you have any questions about voter registration, you can contact the Moss Point Municipal Clerk’s Office at 228-475-0300 (ext. 7900 or 7028).

Election Schedule

Understanding key election dates ensures that you don’t miss your chance to vote. Below is the official schedule for the 2025 Moss Point Municipal Election:

📅 Key Election Dates:

  • February 18, 2025 – Absentee voting begins at Moss Point City Hall (Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM).
  • March 3, 2025Voter registration deadline for the Primary Election.
  • April 1, 2025Primary Election Day (Polls open from 7 AM – 7 PM at Pelican Landing).
    • If no candidate secures more than 50% of the vote, a runoff election will be held.
  • April 22, 2025Primary Runoff Election Day (if required).
  • June 3, 2025General Election Day (Polls open from 7 AM – 7 PM at Pelican Landing).

Voting Machine Testing – Open to the Public

To ensure the integrity of the election process, testing of voting equipment will take place on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Jackson County Election Commission, 4111 Amonett Street, Pascagoula, MS 39567. This testing is open to the public.

Sample Ballots for the Primary Election

Voters can review sample ballots ahead of time to familiarize themselves with the candidates and positions up for election. The April 1, 2025, Municipal Democratic Primary Election ballot includes selections for:

  • Mayor of Moss Point
  • Alderman At Large
  • Municipal Executive Committee Members
  • Aldermen for Wards 1-6 (depending on your residency)

Be sure to review the sample ballots available for your ward before heading to the polls.
