Your Voice Matters: Join the Community Listening Session on Disaster Recovery Funds

Your voice matters!

Moss Point residents, this is your opportunity to make a real impact. The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is holding a Community Listening Session on March 25, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Moss Point City Hall to hear directly from you.

The state has been awarded Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds to help communities recover from the disasters of 2023 and 2024. Now, MDA wants to know what your experience has been like and what support you still need.

Why You Should Attend

If the storms affected your home, business, or daily life, this is your chance to speak up. Whether you are still facing challenges or have a vision for how Moss Point should rebuild stronger, your input will help shape the way these funds are used.

This session will give you the opportunity to:

  • Share your personal experiences from the storm
  • Talk about any unmet needs you still have
  • Help shape the future of disaster recovery in our city

MDA representatives will be there to listen, answer questions, and gather information to ensure that funding decisions reflect the real needs of our community.

How You Can Help

  • Attend the meeting and share your experience
  • Encourage your friends and neighbors to come and speak
  • Stay informed about how these funds are being used in Moss Point
