Chief Stevenson brings more than thirty years of law enforcement experience to the role. He began his career with the Biloxi Police Department in patrol operations and community-based policing, then served with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, contributing to statewide public safety alongside agencies across the region.

He stepped into leadership of the department in October 2025 and was formally voted in and sworn in as Chief on January 7, 2026. His focus has stayed on continuity, supporting department personnel, and keeping community safety the top priority.
