Mayor Knight Invites Residents to Participate in Upcoming Board Meeting

How the Meeting Will Work

Because seating is limited to 88 people, the Mayor requested that each ward ensure representation by selecting one spokesperson to speak on behalf of their community. Whether in favor of or against the proposed selected contractor, each speaker will have three minutes to express their position.

“The goal is fairness to all concerned,” Mayor Knight said. “We can agree to disagree, but we must do so respectfully. Your comments are heard and taken into advisement by the full board.”

To keep the meeting efficient, 30 minutes have been allocated for this public input portion before other city business resumes.

Commitment to Fiscal Responsibility

Mayor Knight reaffirmed the city’s dedication to using tax dollars wisely while ensuring high-quality work across departments. He acknowledged past concerns about workmanship but expressed confidence that with structure and leadership, Moss Point’s Public Works Department can deliver effectively.
