On November 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., Moss Point will gather at Veterans Memorial Park to do what we do every year: honor the men and women who served this country.
No fanfare. No political speeches. Just a community saying thank you to the people who earned it.
Veterans Day isn’t about mattress sales or a day off work. It’s about recognizing that freedom isn’t free and the people who paid the price deserve more than our lip service.
This program, hosted by the Rotary Club of Moss Point and Moss Point Main Street Association, has become a tradition for our city. Families come. Veterans come. Local leaders come. We stand together, remember together, and make sure the next generation understands what service means.
The ceremony will feature a formal program honoring all branches of military service. Expect a color guard, patriotic music, and speakers who understand that sacrifice isn’t just a word you put on a banner.
There will be a moment of silence. A recognition of veterans in attendance. A tribute to those who didn’t make it home. It’s respectful, it’s moving, and it’s the right way to mark this day.
Everyone. Veterans, active-duty military, families, students, business owners, retirees. If you live in Moss Point or the surrounding area, this is your chance to physically show up and say thank you.
Veterans: you are the guests of honor. Your service matters. Your presence matters. We want you there.
Moss Point has a long history of military service. From World War II to Iraq and Afghanistan, our community has sent its sons and daughters into harm’s way. Some came home. Some didn’t. All of them deserve to be remembered.
Veterans Memorial Park exists for this reason. It’s a place to reflect, to honor, and to make sure we never forget the cost of the freedoms we enjoy every single day.
