Bid Notice: City of Moss Point Seeks Qualified Partner for Public Works Operations

Five-Year Contract Opportunity Now Open for Proposals from Experienced Service Providers

The City of Moss Point has officially opened the floor to competitive proposals for the operations and maintenance of its Public Works Department. This is more than just a contract — it’s a long-term opportunity to serve a vital role in the backbone of city infrastructure and services.

Interested companies are invited to submit a written proposal outlining their qualifications, work plan, pricing, and staff structure. The selected operator will enter into a five-year agreement with the city, making this an excellent opportunity for firms with proven experience in municipal operations and a commitment to service excellence.

Proposal Requirements and Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated by a dedicated committee, with the following six factors under review:

  1. Qualifications of Management Staff

  2. Experience in Similar Operations

  3. Performance History

  4. Staffing Plan

  5. Workplan Approach

  6. Price (which will account for 35% of the total evaluation)

While pricing is important, the City is placing significant weight on capability, planning, and performance history to ensure quality service delivery.
