The City of Moss Point has officially opened the floor to competitive proposals for the operations and maintenance of its Public Works Department. This is more than just a contract — it’s a long-term opportunity to serve a vital role in the backbone of city infrastructure and services.
Interested companies are invited to submit a written proposal outlining their qualifications, work plan, pricing, and staff structure. The selected operator will enter into a five-year agreement with the city, making this an excellent opportunity for firms with proven experience in municipal operations and a commitment to service excellence.
Proposal Requirements and Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated by a dedicated committee, with the following six factors under review:
Qualifications of Management Staff
Experience in Similar Operations
Performance History
Staffing Plan
Workplan Approach
Price (which will account for 35% of the total evaluation)
While pricing is important, the City is placing significant weight on capability, planning, and performance history to ensure quality service delivery.
