Community Volunteer Day with the Biloxi Shuckers Rescheduled for February 7th, 2026
Community Volunteer Day with the Biloxi Shuckers has been officially rescheduled for Saturday, February 7th, 2026
The City of Moss Point Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to announce that the Community Volunteer Day with the Biloxi Shuckers has been officially rescheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026, following a weather related postponement of the original January date.
This community driven event represents more than just a day at the ballpark. It is a collaborative effort focused on youth development, civic pride, and preparing Moss Point’s baseball facilities for a strong and successful 2026 season.
Why the Event Was Rescheduled
Originally scheduled for January 24, the Community Volunteer Day was postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions that would have limited outdoor activities and volunteer work. Rather than compromise the experience, the decision was made to move the event to a date that allows families, volunteers, and partners to fully participate and enjoy the day as intended.
The new date ensures safer conditions, better participation, and a more productive volunteer effort.

Parents and guardians can expect a relaxed, welcoming environment where kids can run, play, and learn while adults connect with coaches and league organizers.

Building a Strong 2026 Baseball Season
The Parks & Recreation Department’s goal is simple: create a positive, well supported environment for Moss Point’s children to grow, compete, and thrive. Events like Community Volunteer Day play a critical role in setting that foundation.
When families, volunteers, and community partners come together, the result is more than prepared fields. It is stronger relationships, shared responsibility, and a deeper sense of pride in local programs.
