Public Works is responsible for proficiently maintaining gas, water, sewerage, drainage, solid waste, and street maintenance services. The department also takes pride in the maintenance of rights-of-way, city green lots, and routine maintenance of city buildings.
The department is organized into two divisions and nine departments, each responsible for a piece of the infrastructure that keeps the River City running.
From drainage to natural gas, water distribution to sanitation, Moss Point Public Works covers eight core service categories across the city's 27 square miles.

Volunteer groups partner with the Mississippi Wildlife Federation to monitor and protect Moss Point waterways. Help keep our rivers clean for the next 125 years.
