Requirements for Utility Service

Building Inspection – before deposits can be made for an address, an inspection must be completed on the building and premises where the utilities are requested.

• • There is a $15 (fifteen dollar) fee for the inspection. A certificate of occupancy will be issued after the inspection has been completed and all requirements are met.
  • The Certificate of Occupancy must be presented along with the other requirement when paying the deposits.

A lease agreement or deed showing proof of ownership with the name of the applicant and the address of the property on the document. If the applicant has no lease agreement then a notarized statement from the property owner stating that the property is being leased or rented to the person paying the deposit will be required.

1. A valid picture I.D. (state or federal issued picture I.D.)
2. A valid Social Security Card
3. All prior bills must be paid in full before a deposit can be made for a new address.

Requirement for Temporary Service – 3 (Three) Days

1. Only allowed 1 (one) per year, per address.
2. A deed showing proof of ownership with the name of the applicant and the address of the property on the document.
3. A valid Social Security Card
4. A valid picture I.D. (state or federal issued picture I.D.)
5. Non-Refundable connection fee of $40 (forty dollars).

Note:
If water and gas are both required, a deposit and service charge is required per service. All of the requirements must be met in order to pay the deposits on a new address.
